Chinese New Year

According to the Chinese calendar, February 14, 2010 was the first day of the “Year of the Tiger.” Weir 5th grade students recently studied some of the customs, traditions, and activities associated with Chinese New Year. They made several decorations for the classroom and also learned to eat with chopsticks! They ended the celebration with a feast of noodles, egg rolls, rice crackers, fortune cookies, and candies.
