by Ashley Hobbs and Missy Johnson

McCune 1st and 2nd grade classes spent the day at the Greenbush Abernathy Center. During the first half of the day they participated in a group discussion on Matter Mix-up. Their goal was to make their very own slime, but the labels were taken off the containers. Their mission was to find the correct 2 liquids and 1 solid with physical properties to complete their experiment.

Students went to the green house and planted their very own seed to observe daily in the classroom. They also planted a plant to take home.

During the 2nd half of the day they learned about Structure and Life Cycle of Living Things: Plants. The students explored the structure and life cycles of plants by using magnifying glasses and live specimens while working inside of the green house.
